Why Citation?

There are many different models of business jets in the world. So why does CJ Sales only focus on the Cessna Citation? Being a successful private jet broker requires a wealth of highly specialized knowledge and longstanding industry relationships.

By only focusing on one jet family, we’re able to devote more resources to becoming true subject matter experts. That means better service, better processes, and better results for you. Other brokers have to spread their attention across the entire jet market, limiting their knowledge. We don’t miss a thing when it comes to Cessna Citations, however.

Keep reading to learn more about the Cessna Citation and discover why it’s one of the world’s most popular families of business jets.

Meet the Family

There are 24 primary models of Citation jets that we deal in at CJ Sales. These jets range from single-pilot, 4-seater aircraft like the Mustang to crewed 10-seaters like the Citation Longitude—and everything in between. Prices range from around 1 million to 30 million or so, but you can trust that you’ll get the best possible deal when you work with Mike.

Though the Citation has been evolving since its introduction in the late 1960s, today all of the planes that we deal in are from the mid-90s or newer. Cessna has 6 Citation models currently in active production as well. With this much variety, a Citation is a great option for any client looking for a dependable business jet.

The Citation’s History

The Cessna Citation has played a major role in the development and popularization of the corporate business jet, dating back to its introduction in the late 1960s. Cessna designed the Citation to introduce a business jet into their portfolio.

In this era, business jets were loud, complex, and costly both to manufacture and to fly, limiting their effectiveness in the field. Cessna sought to change that with the Citation. They wanted a business jet that was convenient, sleek, and provided the smoothest ride possible.

After years in development, the original Citation 500 prototype flew for the first time in September of 1969 from Cessna’s Wichita, Kansas headquarters. The community connected with something about the Cessna Citation, and the aircraft caught on. Over the ensuing decades, Cessna began to upgrade the model and introduce new variants to improve the speed, flight range, and efficiency.

As the company continued to innovate, the popularity of the Citation continued to grow. Today, Cessna boasts the world’s most diversified jet portfolio, built upon the fleet of over 8,000 Citations that have been delivered throughout Cessna’s history.

Is a Citation Right For You?

Trying to pick a jet to take your business to the next level? Or maybe you’re ready to make the switch from another business jet to a Cessna Citation? No matter why you’re looking for a new jet, CJ Sales will help you find the right Citation for you.

The Citation has developed a reputation over decades as a reliable, comfortable, and efficient jet. A Citation can make a statement thanks to its suite of advanced technology and sleek, contoured profile. And that’s not even mentioning the class-leading performance.

When you choose a Cessna Citation, you’ll become part of the world’s largest business jet community. The Citation family is the most popular line of business jets in the world, and Citations have over 35 million combined flight hours. And with CJ Sales, it’s easier than ever to get in the air. We’ll listen to your unique needs to help you find the right Citation for you.

Do you have questions about the Citation’s capabilities? You’re in luck. Mike has worked with these jets for years, and he loves helping match our clients with the perfect jet.
